Who we are

This site is operated by Devlin Property, a Northland-based property development company. In this policy “we”, “us”, and “our” mean Devlin Property. We are the agency responsible for the personal information collected through this site.

Our contact for any privacy question or request is matt@devlin-property.co.nz. You can also write to us at Northland, New Zealand.

What this site is

listings.devlin-property.co.nz is a property-listings site. It aggregates publicly available section and house-and-land listings across Northland and Auckland north of the Harbour Bridge, and lets you enquire about building a DEVPRO home or book a consultation with us. Our separate marketing website at devlin-property.co.nz has its own privacy policy.

Information we collect

We only collect personal information that you choose to give us, plus a small amount of technical information needed to run the site securely.

  • Enquiry / lead forms. When you submit the “talk to us about building on this section” form, we collect your name, email address, and (optionally) your phone number, your message, and a reference to the listing you were viewing.
  • Consultation bookings. When you book a call, we collect your name, email, phone number, the type of consultation, your preferred date/time, and any context you choose to add (for example a listing, address, land price, or build size).
  • Technical information. For security, rate-limiting, and fraud prevention we record your browser’s user-agent string and a salted, irreversible hash of your IP address. We do not store your raw IP address. We can render historical IP hashes meaningless at any time by rotating the salt.
  • Analytics. We use privacy-aware analytics (see “Cookies and analytics” below) to understand how the site is used.

You don’t have to give us any personal information to browse listings. If you don’t complete an enquiry or booking form, we simply can’t contact you back.

How we use your information

  • To respond to your enquiry and contact you about building a home or a section you’re interested in.
  • To arrange, confirm, and follow up on consultations you book.
  • To operate, secure, and improve the site (including rate-limiting and preventing spam/abuse).
  • To meet our legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for unrelated third-party advertising.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of trusted service providers to run the site. They process personal information on our behalf, only as needed to provide their service:

  • Supabase— our database, where enquiries and bookings are stored.
  • Vercel— hosting and performance/traffic analytics for the site.
  • Resend— sends us (and you) the email notifications and confirmations triggered by your enquiry or booking.
  • Microsoft Clarity— usage analytics, heatmaps, and session replay that help us improve the site.
  • Google— when you book, we check calendar availability and may send a calendar invite via Google Calendar.
  • HubSpot— our customer-relationship system; when you confirm a booking we create a contact and an associated deal so we can manage our follow-up.

Some of these providers are based overseas, so your information may be stored or processed outside New Zealand. We take reasonable steps to ensure they protect your information to a standard comparable to the Privacy Act 2020. We may also disclose information if required by law.

Cookies and analytics

The site uses a small amount of browser storage and cookies:

  • A local preference for your light/dark theme choice, stored in your browser.
  • A service worker that caches pages so the site works as an installable app and loads quickly.
  • Analytics from Vercel and Microsoft Clarity, which set cookies and collect usage data (including session replays of how you interact with pages — Clarity masks form input by default).

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out of Microsoft Clarity tracking via your browser’s privacy controls. Blocking cookies won’t stop you browsing listings.

How long we keep it

We keep personal information only for as long as we need it. Enquiry/lead records are automatically deleted after 90days. Booking records and CRM contacts are kept for as long as we’re in contact with you about a possible build, and are deleted or anonymised when they’re no longer needed.

Keeping it secure

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from loss, misuse, and unauthorised access. Data is transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS) connections, IP addresses are stored only as salted hashes, and contact details are submitted through form data rather than in page URLs. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your information safe.

Your rights

Under the Privacy Act 2020 you have the right to ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and to ask us to correct it if it’s wrong. You can also ask us to delete it. To make a request, email matt@devlin-property.co.nz. We’ll respond as soon as we can, and within the timeframes the Act requires.

If you’re not satisfied with how we’ve handled your information, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above shows when it last changed. Significant changes will be reflected here on this page.
